Founded in 2009 by CEO Sam Waley-Cohen, Portman Dental Care currently have 200 dental practices across the UK, Ireland and Benelux, including 16 orthodontic Portman Smile Clinics, caring for over 700,000 patients. Their practices offer a range of specialist, private and NHS dental care services, and are focused on continual development both in clinical skills and innovation. On the 1st April 2022, Portman Healthcare opened their specialist dental practice on Valley Drive, Ilkley, to provide clinical excellence in orthodontic dentistry and teeth straightening services for NHS and Private patients in this beautiful Yorkshire town. From the outset, the brief was to use the Portman Marketing and POS Units in conjunction with artwork for the graphics incorporating illustrations of local landmarks to connect with the community and with the local area. Illustrations used were of the Ribblehead Viaduct, Bolton Abbey, Brimham Rocks and Bolton Castle.
The main challenge with this project involving, as it did, a large-scale complete re-build, was one of logistics. Several site meetings were necessary to co-ordinate with the client and the Main Contractor to arrange phased installations using two Installation teams to achieve the deadline.
The branding compliments their striking new building, the vinyl graphics enhance the business’ visual appeal, emphasising an affiliation with the local area and really helping to cement the practice within the local community.
