Well, according to the Bradford Means Business Awards we are! We’re delighted to tell you that we won our category of Business or Technical Innovation Award, in recognition of our diversification into signage for the healthcare industry and creation of new dementia friendly products in response to the growing need for dementia friendly environments in hospitals and care homes.
The award was announced at a gala dinner in the city on Saturday evening. Sadly, nobody from the company was able to attend the event so we missed out on being able to collect the award in person but we’re still delighted to have won.
The thing that really means a lot to us about winning this business award is that it’s specifically about innovation. We have worked really hard to create new products that can make a difference to people living with dementia, as well as helping those caring for them in hospitals and care homes. It has been a steep learning curve, understanding the way people with dementia respond to images and colours and the impact that it has on their emotions and well-being. It’s only through upskilling ourselves in this area that we have been able to develop the new products that we have and to be awarded for innovation really validates what we’re doing.
We’d like to extend our congratulations to all the other winners at the awards, and of course the other short-listed companies – it’s good to see so many successful businesses here in Bradford.
